One of my favorite unexpected surprises is seeing something I own on a television set. Anyone else flip out- pointing, jumping and yelling “Look, look, LOOK, it’s my (insert item here)!!!” when that happens? Can’t be just me.
Lately I’ve had that experience a few times, and thought I’d share. LOOK!
I’m a long-time fan of the Big Bang Theory. Whether in reruns or new episodes, I crack up every time. I’m also a fan of the fact that Penny’s apartment is home to the twin brother of my table lamp. See it there, on the side table below?
Let’s zoom in a little for a better view. Just ignore those people and all that PDA in the foreground…
And in case you don’t believe me, here’s a shot of MY lamp too, which I found at Pier One Imports about four years ago, before I’d ever seen the show (this photo is of our apartment living room at that time). When I first started watching, I noticed the lamp twin immediately, and now I see it on every episode.
Then, just a few weeks ago, I happened to catch a few minutes of Are You There Chelsea? and wouldn’t you know it? I saw TWO things that looked very familiar…
Let’s see if you can spot the twins in this photo of Vera’s nursery:
That’s right. Chelsea’s bedspread is the Woodland Garden print from Urban Outfitters, the matching print to Vera’s curtains (one of my favorite things in her room), and she also has the same floating wall-flowers up on her walls.
It’s almost like the set designer has been perusing my little blog…….. ok probably not, but it’s still cool. :)
Anyone else love seeing your things on TV? Have you spotted anything lately?
