Life Updates
By Dawn Sailors In Just DawnI’m working on an awesome but time-consuming project right now that I had hoped to share today or tomorrow, however it’s looking like Friday at the earliest if I’m lucky (read- not lazy). :) Life’s been super busy lately, and a lot of the time, I don’t get a chance to share everything that’s going on with us day-to-day. So I thought since my project isn’t quite ready for its internet debut, I’d play catch up on some of the fun things going on around here.
One – Back to School
For the hub that is. As of this fall, Brett is officially on his way to a master’s degree in administration. He is perfectly happy with his position of teaching and coaching high school students, but this will open the door to a lot more opportunities and options for him in the future, and I am really proud of him for finally making the leap and committing to it! That being said, his time (and our budget) is now much more limited since he has homework every week and we are trying to get through the next year and a half without taking out student loans. Fingers crossed we’ll be able to stick to that!
Two – New Ride
Something I’ve been wanting for quite a while finally became more of a necessity when we had some work that needed to be done on my old (and tiny) car and decided it wasn’t worth putting any more money into. So I’m counting this new Chevy Malibu as a belated birthday present!! If you follow me on Instagram (@DesigningDawn) or check out my pics here, you might already have seen this photo come through. We got a great deal, and are happy to have a family sized car finally. I love my new car! :)
Three – Halloween!
We’re practicing saying “Trick-or-Treat!” and pulling Vera’s costume together, and I can’t wait! I can’t bring myself to buy a pre-made costume, so we’re all about Goodwill trips and homemade outfits. Creativity is half the fun of Halloween!! This is V’s viking costume from last year. I can’t wait to see how this year’s costume comes together. Thursday’s post this week will show off my girl’s Halloween spirit. :)
Ok, that’s it for now. Have a great, fun, and safe Halloween week!
