Recently, I got an email asking me to participate in One Kings Lane’s Pouf-a-Palooza, creating a mood board around one of their (many) pouf options. It’s no secret that poufs are huge right now, and OKL is definitely on point. In their own words:
“We’re always on the hunt for the cute, functional, yet comfortable décor pieces that liven up any space, and we’re declaring poufs the hottest must-have piece of the season! No matter what your style, we’re sure there’s a pouf that’s perfect for you.”
Of course I was thrilled to be a part of the event, and you know I love making mood boards. I chose the Wanderlust Aztec Pouf, and here’s the summery inspiration board I came up with based on this fun, colorful piece:
Tabby 1-Light Pendant, Oil Rubbed Bronze
Emily Proud, Red Rings
Katherine Fraser, Parked
“Life is” 20×20 Pillow, White
1960s Server by Stanley
Julie 83″ Sofa, Charcoal
Herringbone Turkish Beach Blanket, Pink
Naomi Rug, Ivory
Wanderlust Aztec Pouf, Multi
I chose this pouf as my inspiration piece because of the bright colors and fun Aztec print, which I’m so into right now. It also just screams summer to me, so I paired it with pieces that were are fun but classic. I kept most of the other furnishings neutral to really let the pouf be the statement, and added other pops of color through artwork, pillows, and a fantastic fuchsia throw. I think the lightness of the art, in both color and subject, works really well with the busy patterned pouf. And now I want to redecorate my living room. :)
FYI – I was asked to participate in this event, however I was not paid or perked to do so, and all opinions are my own.
