Outfit of the Day: Fall Dress

For some reason this year, fall really snuck up on me. It feels like it should still be summer. It was 11° this morning. :(

This outfit, however, is not from today. (I don’t wear dresses when you can see your breath outside.) This one is from those early fall weeks when it was still nice enough to convince myself that October counts as summer. Kind of.

I paired this pretty dress with a very old sweater I’ve had since college but still adore. The color and chunky knit were ahead of their time. Socks with boots give a little autumn-ish flair too. You can’t go wrong with cognac, orange, navy, and cream for fall. It’s impossible.

Side note… if you’re paying attention you may notice that our deck has gotten (is still getting) a little spruce up! Much needed. (Compare it to photos here if you have no idea what I’m talking about.) More on that to come soon so stay tuned over the next few weeks to hear all about it.
