Outfit of the Day: Southwest Style

I’m at home on a stay-cation for the rest of this week, but really it’s more like a work-cation. We’re busy busy on the guest bathroom! Finally! And I’ll have some progress updates coming up later this week. (Along with some actual vay-cation photos if I ever get through them all.) And if I have my way we’ll be wrapping up the whole room by the end of the weekend. Here’s hoping!

But for today, I found these outfit pictures in my files that I forgot to post. They’re from a few weeks ago, but forgive me for not being very timely.

This is probably my new favorite shirt. I found it at Forever 21 on the buy-one-get-one clearance rack and grabbed it immediately. The southwest style pattern reminds me of childhood trips to Arizona and New Mexico, where my Mother grew up and still has family. (My parents actually met and were married in AZ before moving back to my dad’s home state of NE.)

I loved that the new sweater works so well with my coral jeans. I also paired it with one of my favorite pieces of jewelry, this turquoise bracelet that my uncle (who still lives in AZ) made for me several years ago. It’s like it was meant to be.

Speaking of jewelry, if you’d like a chance to win a free Stella and Dot necklace, make sure to get yourself entered in the giveaway I’m hosting this week. Click here to read all about it and enter!!

One of my go-to shoes for the summer is these black sandals that I got on super clearance from the Post and Nickle right before they tore it down. They were marked down to $14 from $65. That’s what we call a steal. As for the tank, it’s just a plain black number from the Limited. I buy them whenever they go on sale, and have them in almost every color plus a few more. It’s quite the collection.

Ok well, stay tuned for vacation/bathroom posts later this week! Have a great night!
