Outfit of the Day: Springtime in January

Monday, January 30, 2012 – Date night and to the office

It’s been a while since I’ve done an outfit post. Mostly because it’s been so cold and too dark to get any good outdoor pics. I hate having to take them inside, but that’s also why the lighting on these sucks. Sorry. But it’s also a little bit because my introvert self is easy to talk into not posting my own picture when it’s the least bit inconvenient. But part of my reason for sharing fashion posts in the first place was to push myself out of my comfort zone and put it all out there, so I’m back on the horse. It also helps that it was 65° this week and I was in a really good mood… aaaannnnd as I’m typing this, we’re bracing for a thunder-snow that is forcasted to bring us 9-12 inches of snow by tomorrow. This is Nebraska people. As they say, if you don’t like the weather, just wait a few minutes and it will change.

I actually wore this same outfit twice in a row, the first time on a date with the hubs last Saturday night (our second since V was born- we really need to get out more), and the second time was to the office on Monday because I liked it so much.

Something about warm weather just makes me want to break out the white jeans. But it is still January, so a short sleeved wool sweater seemed like a good compromise to pair them with. And I look for absolutely any excuse to wear this turtle necklace. We couldn’t get a great picture of it because Vera wouldn’t let it go! Haha… anyway, I guess this is the end of our January spring. At least I’ll get a chance to break out V’s new snowsuit! Yeah you can bet there will be photos of that to come in the near future. :)  I was starting to think she’d never get to wear it!
