A few thoughts and some changes that I’ll be making.
I started this blog in May 2010, and after a short break later that year, I kicked it in for good in April 2011. In that time, I’ve learned a few things. I’ve had criticism and praise, felt excitement and stress.
The truth is, blogging is hard work. Anyone who has ever tried it knows that. There comes a point when trying to post up to 5 days a week while working full time and still trying to find time for my family, projects, friends, and health, has become too much for one girl and I’m desperately in need of some structure.
I’ve been neglecting time for exercise, which is something I enjoy and need in my life. So to try to get back to a more healthy routine (not that 12+ hours a day on a computer isn’t healthy…), I’ve decided to implement a more structured post schedule from here on out.
So that is where I’m at. I’m forcing myself to step back a bit and find a better balance in my life. I’m hoping that this will be a good thing: providing more structure and freedom from stress and the feeling that I’m letting my readers down if there is nothing new for you to see when you visit me. I’m also hoping that it will give you a better idea of what to expect and when, allowing more stability there too. So this is my new plan. I’m going to start with this and see where things go. As always, I retain my right as a woman to change my mind. :)
For the foreseeable future, I will be posting three days a week- on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The exception to this will be Dania’s bi-weekly Tuesday posts, and my occasional twin tuesday features, or if my letters to Vera happen to fall on an off day.
In my regularly scheduled post days, I am hoping to have at least one project post, one baby/family related post, and one day that might be a fashion post, randoms, updates or whatever else is on my mind.
Ok that’s it! Just me trying to find some balance in this crazy life. Have a great night!
PS– I’m having surgery tomorrow morning (I mentioned it here a while ago) and expect to be a bit out of it for most of the day, so this new schedule will go into effect after the weekend! Wish me luck!
