The Christmas season is officially over, and I am so thankful and blessed to have such a great family and such amazing in-laws too! As I mentioned in my last post, there was not a lot I needed for Christmas, but there were several things I wanted. Ha! I have to say, I made out pretty well this year. So here it is, my Holiday Haul.
I got the Kindle I asked for from my husband, and I have hardly put it down since the night I opened it. Seriously, I have read four books in seven days… In addition, I received an Amazon gift card from my father-in-law to buy all the Kindle books I can possibly read. To top it off, my mother gave me the amazing Kate Spade Kindle cover I asked for.
I also got some great books and candles (my all-time favorite go to) from my brother.
I was also pleasantly surprised by a beautiful gift from my sister! I had been looking for an antique trunk for a long time, but I could never find one in good condition for the amount I was willing to spend. So I was so excited when Dawn and Brett pulled into my driveway with a Christmas surprise for me! How beautiful is this?
I also got a very special gift from my father. He gave me my grandmother’s engagement ring, (Dawn got the wedding band), which he had cleaned and sized for me. Gorgeous!
Chad also made out pretty well, but I will only show one of his gifts… the one from me! I bought him a new hunting rifle, and he even got a chance to take it to the farm and try it out.
I had a great Christmas this year, complete with three weeks off before I started my new teaching career. I baked, I shopped, I read, I ran, and I relaxed. Perfect. Now on to bigger and better things in 2012!
