Happy Fourth!

I hope everyone had a great fourth of July! We spent part of the long weekend with the hub’s family in his home town, mostly just overeating. Brett’s parents own a beautiful guest house that they rent out to visitors, but they try to leave it open on holiday weekends, so we always have a comfortable place to stay when we visit.

My father in law is a great cook and he served up a feast that was enough to feed us for a week. Luckily being that their house is on a main corner and the parade passes right by, we usually have several friends come join us afterwards for a picnic.

It was a good time and Vera was very well-behaved. At least until the fire trucks came through the parade and scared her. Poor baby. But overall it was a fun time. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day and one special bedtime video of a little girl who didn’t want to go to sleep.
