Other People’s Projects: Megan’s (Spray)Painted Chairs

Hi friends! Happy Thursday. And I’m very happy it’s Thursday, because tomorrow is my Friday off work, and it’s been a long week… but enough whining. Today I have an amazing project to share from another Omaha blogger I met (well, virtually met) a couple weeks ago through my Facebook page.

Megan is the woman behind OmahaHa.com, and she is full of creative ideas. Here is her chair project in her own words:

I recently “splurged” on some upholstery spray paint. Have you heard of that? I just wrote a piece about turning a craigslist deal into the perfect chairs for our sun room/screen porch. I thought I was crazy for trying it, but ended up loving it.

Now to get to the goods! Just look at these chairs:

I know what you’re thinking right now, but no, the title does not lie. These chairs are spray-painted!!! This seriously makes me want to paint a chair, like now (I do have the day off tomorrow, hmmmm…). And I just might have one in mind. We’ll see…. Can you believe how good they look?

Megan has a full tutorial on her blog right here, including what to look for in an upholstery-painting candidate and a step by step of her process. Thanks again, Megan, for letting me share your project today. And thanks for the inspiration!

Happy Friday eve!
