Outfit of the Day: Classy Lady

Last Monday I was feeling optimistic about the new week and it was a pretty nice day weather-wise, so i pulled out the springiest dress I had in my closet to match my mood. This was actually the first time I’ve worn this dress. I found it at a thrift store last winter and it somehow got lost amongst my clothes (out of sight out of mind) until now.

I feel like an early 60s lady in this true vintage piece. It is even homemade and hand stitched! Someone put love into it and it’s one of a kind.

The pattern and flowing skirt make me want to twirl in a circle while singing “I feel pretty…” Would that be too much?

I love the neckline and pleating detail down the front. I also really like the combo of the vintage flower fabric with more modern accessories, although I tried to keep it simple to avoid looking costum-y. Paired with a skinny belt, I think it totally comes up to date and I actually got a lot of compliments wearing it.
