Outfit of the Day: Festive

Before getting into the outfit post today, I’m exited to tell you that some of our Xmas decor is being featured on a series over at 6th Street Design School today. One of my favorite blogs and I’m honored to be included. Thanks Kirsten! Click over and check it out!

Speaking of Xmas, happy Christmas weekend! I’m so excited about Christmas this year. And on that note, I’m taking Monday off from blogging, so this will be the last you hear from me until next Thursday. Unless the world ends today, in which case this will be the last you hear from me. :) Hopefully that is not the case. Now on to the post of the day!

festive outfitJacket: Target (very old)
Jeans: American Eagle
Shoes: Bed Stu via DSW
Tunic: Gap
Necklace: Stella & Dot Campari Necklace
Bracelet: Stella & Dot Foundation Bracelet

This outfit is actually a few weeks old. Like from Thanksgiving. But I’ve been lax about posting outfits lately, so you might see a few older ones like this pop up in the next few weeks. It’s so much harder to get outfit shots now though, since it’s dark when I leave for work and when I get home, so maybe it’s a good thing that I have a few like this stored up to share as we go.

Anyway, I love the simplicity and comfort of this. I’ve finally found the perfect skinny jeans for me. So from now on I will only be buying them from American Eagle. (Because apparently I have the build of a 13 year old?) These are my new favorite pair. I enjoy how the dark color looks a little dressy, but the distressing brings it back to casual.

These are also my favorite new shoes. I had a DSW coupon and these were already on clearance, so they were a steal! I love how they pick up the red of the necklace and bracelet too. Speaking of which, aren’t they beautiful? I’ve never owned expensive jewelry before, and since getting these (and more!) with my hostess credits after hosting my Stella & Dot party last summer, I’ve worn them every chance I get. They feel fancy! But I brought it back to casual again in this outfit with my military style jacket. It is several years old, before army-green was cool, but I’m glad I held onto it. I still get compliments every time I put it on and it’s one of my favorites.

I feel like the combo of green and red make this outfit feel a little festive, and that’s why I finally broke it out to share this week. So here’s me, dressed in holiday themed colors wishing you a very Merry Christmas. See you next week friends!
