Outfit of the Day: Simple Summer

The weather here has been so much more bearable lately. After weeks of 100° days it’s finally starting to feel like fall. This outfit, though, is from one of those 100+ days, a Saturday, and not one where I particularly had an excuse to dress nicely.

It is actually the day that I met my new friend, Laura for the first time in person. As you saw in my last outfit post, she very kindly loaned me some of her beautiful Stella and Dot jewelry and as soon as I got home, I couldn’t resist trying on this necklace.

I’ve been obsessed with it ever since pinning an identical style months ago, so I was super excited to get to wear it. Don’t you love the unique take on a standard cross necklace? So delicate and sweet looking. Speaking of sweet looking, this is Vera’s new ‘smile’ face for pictures.

Other than that, this outfit is mostly function and a product of the heat. I like it for its simplicity, but it still looks pulled together. Or at least like I didn’t just come from the gym- which, to be honest, is a common weekend look around here. Sadly not always involving an actual workout.
