Weekly Randoms

It’s been a while since I’ve done my randoms, but I’ve got some pretty sweet ones collected for you today. Read on!!

Inkling by Wacom
I seriously didn’t believe this was a real thing the first time I saw it. Basically you sketch whatever you want onto regular paper and this little gadget magically transforms your pen drawings into vector graphics. I mean come on. Seriously?! We’re now living in a sci-fi movie. Check out the promo video below if you are in as much disbelief as I was upon first reading about this.

Nest Learning Thermostat

Speaking of sci-fi, this thermostat is both beautiful and amazing. And beautiful. How awesome would this look in place of that ugly yellowish box on my wall right now? Plus its smart and economical. Maybe some day.

InBook iPhone charger

An iPhone charger made from vintage books? Yes please. This would look perfect on my nightstand…

If you’re a fan of my Facebook page, you may already have seen me post this link, but this kerning game is so addicting. I’ve already done a victory lap around Brett after getting a perfect score and crushing him in our little competition. They are promising more design geek games soon, but until then, kern away my fellow design nerds!

Afsaneh Tajvidi
This blog I came across recently is the work of an extremely talented artist, and I am in complete awe of her sketchbooks. Prepare to be inspired.

The Efeet Collection

Are these the cutest things ever? They were created by Dylan Kendall , a self proclaimed “studio artist turned social entrepreneur turned designer”. I love unexpected whimsy. I might have to get some when we redo our master bathroom. Adorbs.

70 Million by Hold Your Horses
My friend, Afton, introduced me to this Hold Your Horses music video yesterday and it might just be the coolest mv this art nerd has ever seen. It makes me feel smart and geeky at the same time. Great, right?

And finally, here is a seasonal Instigram photos, just in time for Halloween!
